Washing wetly snapping,
responding to a cheeky wind that wants to play;
workman's denim plays along
unyielding at first to the wind's game of Snap!
Pink flush of cheerleaders
embraced within the parameters of sheltered walls
fly high with excited moves
hold tightly to each other with pegged hands.
Everyone wins in the end
participants dried and ready for another day;
the wind withdrawing satisfied
with yet another great day of playful tussle.....
Merril @ dVerse has given us a prompt to pen an ekphrastic poem to do with the wind, using one of the paintings she has suggested.
I chose ~ Franz Marc, Flatternde Wäsche im Wind (1906)
