Moored by comfort she sat,
her beam broad and sturdy
upon the waters of safety.
Barnacled opinions tried
to shipwreck this old girl
yet wisdom held her firmly
against any tides of conflict.
Fearing neither storm nor wind,
aware that her anchor would hold,
she remained in this safe harbour
knowing she was rightly placed…
