We took shelter in the hallway that day
as the static electricity sizzled overhead.
It sounded like someone was frying bacon.
Thunder has a sound but so too lightning
when it is cooking on the roof of the house.
Hugging each other we waited.....
Quadrille time [44 words sans title] which must include some form of the word 'static'. I vividly remember the scene I have written about here. I had never actually 'heard' lightning before and it was very scary.
