Erosion of trust
corrodes one's emotions
that then must either adjust
or sleep, as the dust settles in.
Thrust back! Don't lie down
for rust never sleeps they say.
Repair what you can with courage
not permitting a crust to form
in the breaching of the trusting.
For there is an 'us' in trust
which points to the tango of two,
the dancing around of points of view
that can explode with cantankerous speed,
intent on destroying what once was sweet.
Hence forth decide to trust again if you're able,
forgiving where needed, or walk away
if the music has become entirely discordant.
This requires wisdom.....
